Nadia Nakai announces upcoming gig at the United States

Nadia Nakai kicks off this year with a positive energy just like she did last year as she’s set to rep South Africa in an upcoming
international gig.

Bragga is the first female rapper from Mzansi chosen to showcase at Austin Texas in the United States.

The rap star expressed her excitement on social media, saying:
“Im SOOO excited!!! I’ve been selected as 1 of the South African artist to showcase at @
sxsw in Austin Texas in the United States !!!! I can’t wait!!!!!!!!!”

Speaking to TshishaLIVE, she said the gig is a platform to open more huge opportunities for her, and that SA artists are also good for
collaborations.

“We have a lot of potential for a crossover and collaborations. We have so much potential and should be celebrated. It is
opportunities like this that we have to grab and show people just how good we are as
South Africans.”

“I know that no matter what happens my fans will have my back. The thing is, impressing the PR managers and music
bosses that side and convincing them that what we are doing here is worth investing in and celebrating.”

I’m A Jack Of All Trades – DJ Maphorisa slams hate from other DJs

South African disc jockey, Dj Maphorisa has taken to to social media to describe how he feels about the hates thrown to him that got him the title; “Jack Of All Trade”.

He took to twitter on monday to clear on the issue that his “Capitalising” on Kabza’s fame and using him to ride his wave.

“Everyone wants a piece of Scorpion Kings. Haters want it down on platforms. Guys are jealous (of me) saying I am using Kabza. Why all this hate while everyone loves this project? Since Kabza started working with me has he ever missed a gig? So we don’t deserve it?”

the DJ tweeted

“Djs hate me dats cool coz iam a jack of all trades which pays me very well, wena on da other hand u throw shedes gore i dnt have a backbone go evolve ur sound u sound the same urgh,”

he said.

Memorial Service For Late Johnny Clegg, Set To Hold This Friday

Late South African music icon, Johnny Clegg’s memorial service date has been announced. It is dated to take place on the 26th of july.

Recall that the death of Johnny Clegg was annonced on the 16th of july, after the music icon battle with pancreatic cancer.

However Johnny Clegg has been laid to rest in a private burial service.

The memorial service, which will be open to the public, will start at 12:30. Although entrance to the service is free, tickets for certain seats can be collected from any Computicket outlet.

South African rapper Boity Thulo’s mom Modiehi Thulo landed herself in trouble over a controversial tweet.

The rapper’s mom tweeted about her opinion based anal sex.

“I’ve seen many, many people dying from constant anal s*x. The muscles on the anus don’t contract back after s*x, once the sphincter muscle laxity is reached, nothing can be retained. Hence people start wearing adult napkins.”
